COBie

Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie) was created as a standard by building designers. It has been expanded by contractors and allows for the exchange of IFC-based facility management data (equipment lists, warranties, spare parts lists, product data sheets, maintenance schedules, and other relevant data) using a variety of software solutions. Utilization of COBie provides the standards for commercial design and construction contractors to directly deliver construction data as part of their current offering to support operations, maintenance and management of the facilities assets.
